I have a ton of stereo mix drum loops that I want to convert to MIDI files. This way I can open up them up in Mixcraft and apply my Superior Drum 2.0 sounds to it. I have a guitar tab writing program called Guitar Pro 5 and in it there folders with tabs of bands with drum tracks behind the guitars. Crappy sounds so I took just a drum track and saved as a MIDI file and opened it up in Superior Drums and applied the drums and saved as a WAV or MP3. and it sounded awesome.....The files in Guitar Pro seem to be FX Files.......Soooooooooo, I saw that MC has a "Save to MIDI file" option, however I cant open a WAV and save as a MIDI file. Maybe you simply cant, I dont know, thats why I am asking. I even opened the wav in Virtual project but that didnt work either.
I do have a program called Drumtracker that does allow wav to MIDI....but not stereo mixes such as tracks that contain Snare,Kick,HiHat or cymblas mixed in......you can only do "One Hits"...such as separate drum sounds...which is not what I am needing to do. I simply want to take my drum loops and spruce them up with better sounds. So, I ask the great gurus of Acoustica......Is it possible to open a WAV drum loop and save as a MIDI file? |
