I am using it on win7 now, what issue are you having that makes you say it is not compatible with windows 7? _________________ Acoustica Support

I have a couple of issues with Beatcraft within Windows 7.
I have not used this prog for ages and need the help file to get started. When I try to open it I get a message saying Windows cannot open it and directs me to down load this - "Download WinHlp32.exe for Windows 7". However this did not solve the problem and I still do not know how to use Beatcraft.
The other issue relates to a text box telling me that Beatcraft cannot find my audio drivers but then proceeds to play the demo perfectly. Am I to assume that it has in fact found the drivers?
Thanks in advance. |

Microsoft changed the format for help files from windows xp on forward. The fix is here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917607/en-us
The error you get is not hurting anything, Beatcraft will still work fine. _________________ Acoustica Support

The link you quote is the one I went to, as mentioned in my first post. Which file do I download? I am using 7 so I downloaded the 7 file. Is it the Vista file or the server?
Thanks for the very fast reply |

OK thanks I got it to work! The problem was cured by downloading using Windows Updater rather than the other option of saving the file. I saved the file and tried to run it. Kept getting message saying that the file is inappropriate for this version of Windows. Used Windows Updater and bingo! Thanks for the heads up on which file to use or I would never have cracked it. Weird that you have to use the updater, but maybe useful for others to read this if they get the same problem.
Thanks again
