Timeline space/gap button request

Like many people, I work on a music project and I figured I'm coming up with new ideas during the work process that the project is constantly growing all over the different places in the timeline. I've been constantly highlighting and dragging the instrumental clips and sounds apart to make room for new ideas in between and sometimes putting them together. Fine for me, but I'm getting tired to constantly drag the selection box across every track and scrolling sideways until I find the exact place to move them.

So my suggestion is that in the tool-tip menu there should be a button that inserts a desired space in the timeline (measured by time or beats) and (I've mentioned it in another thread) a button that closes the empty gap between the clips. Doing so would affect only the clips that are positioned after where you clicked your mark on the timeline.
