I've used Mixcraft several times to record rehearsals & performances with my band. I've taken a direct mix out of the board into a small Yamaha 4 channel mixer through a SoundBlaster card into Mixcraft with good results. I've used a single microphone into the mixer/card to Mixcraft with good results. However, the last two times I've tried the single microphone technique, I've gotten lots of snaps, pops & warbling in the sound. Playback is terrible. I don't use the program extensively, so I'm a bit stumped as it has worked in the past and now is just not cooperating. Any ideas? Thanks. _________________ Chicago Fan |

Well if it always worked before and now suddenly does not, then something has changed on your computer.
The symptoms you describe are usually that of a computer having trouble keeping up, so you most likely have other programs running while trying to record. Shut them all off, including those in the system tray (by the clock).
Also make sure you have the latest version of Mixcraft which you can get here _________________ Acoustica Support
