Hi,
If you click on the File menu and select "Edit Paper/Printer Templates," can you move the label back into position so the clipping doesn't happen or is less severe?

Hi,
If you click Reset on that screen, then save that change, does that affect the problem?

Hi,
I have been testing this product and I'm also experincing the issue discussed in this thread on my C5280. I'm testing version 3.26 with HP software version 10.0.0.
I have a perfectly centered label, but it is chopped off in the top. |

Ok now, i have had the same problem.
Problem lies in crappy HP drivers for the C5280. It's a shame HP didn't adress this problem allready, (st**id *ssho*es)
BUT!, there is a sollution for it. Not the best one, but it bloody hell works.
First buy acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker and throw out the crappy roxio that comes with the darn thing.
With your C5280 installed:
* Install Photosmart for c5380 (download from hp) and take the easy install when asked.
*The next window that comes up You choose “my printer is not connected yet, and the go to next. It will take some time!!
* Press next and restart pc when asked.
* After restart go to printers in your configuration panel and delete the c5200.
* Go to printers in your configuration panel and press “install new printer”
* Press next.
* Remove the marking in “find and install my plug and play-printer automatic”.
* When you must choose a port, choose USB001.
* Manufacturer Hewlett Packard and find Photosmart C5300 series and press next 3 times.
* In Acoustica choose paper/printer template for HP 5300 series full faced
* Set outer diameter to 119 and inner to 20.50
* Print to your *couch* "C5300" series and enjoy you first label without edging or chopped off tops.
I'm posting this here because is has cost me two days to figure this out, countless hours on the net searching, wasting to much discs and ink, and probably living two years shorter due to my raised heartbeat while beïng mad at HP for not addressing this problem correctly.
Since it prints perfectly with the C5300 series drivers it's proven that it is purely a driver problem. Something an engineer at HP could solve in minutes. Next printer will most likely be an Epson. It's your own fault HP, but you've lost a costomer that has been true to your brand for many years......
Hope this information will help others with this problem.
Regards,
The Lion |
