Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker does not produce a consistent image on LG or Memorex LS DVDs. The image is complete and basically renders properly but there are what seem to be contrast variations in the burn such that radial lines can be seen on the finished disk.

This effect occurs with all of my 3 burners: Lite-On (iHAS422 8), Samsung TSSTcorp (SH-S203N), Lacie External (DVDRW8651). All with most recent firmware.

The Lightscribe template labeler and NERO 7 OEM, both print the labels cleanly without this effect. I however bought Acoustica for the ability to handle more than one burner.

I am using Acoustica 3.32 and have LightScribe system software version 1.18.9.1.

Thanks,
HardWarrior

Have you downloaded the latest lightscribe system software? It includes a contrast setting in the control panel that allows for darker printing.

Yes, my initial post indicates I am using LightScribe system software version 1.18.9.1. Which to the best of my knowledge is the latest.

Thanks,

Did you open the lightscribe control panel, select your drive and set it for high contrast? (darker printing?)

How about using a higher resolution image? If you use a small image and stretch it to fit the cd, it will get grainy and full of lines. Start with an image at least 300dpi
