Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help me. I have set up a dedicated PC for producing lightscribe discs. I have 3 Lightscribe compatible DVD drives all of which are the same make and model.

When I burn the cover onto 3 lightscribe discs, 2 discs work but one disk (always the same drive) only prints onto half the disk. I believe the drive is working as it burns OK when I lightscribe 1 disk on its own.

Any pointers as to why this is not working would be good.

Regards,

Ash

I have 4 lightscribe drives in my pc and used to have a similar issue with one of them. Go to the drive manufacturer web site and see if there is a firmware upgrade for it, also make sure to download the latest lightscribe system software from lightscribe.com

Hi Eric,

I have check the firmware which is at the latest version and the lightscribe software is at the latest issue too.

The 3 DVD drives are Samsung SH-S222.

Would the spec of the PC cause this error? Its got a 2.6GHZ Celeron Processor with 1GHz of ram. Is this sufficent for 3 lightscribe drives?

Ash

No th pc should be fine.
Go to the lightscribe web site and download their diagnostic tool, it might find an issue. If it does, it will automatically fix it.
Another thing to try is uninstall the lightscribe software, go to windows device manager and uninstall all the drives, reboot windows, let the drives reinstall, reboot again and reinstall the lightscribe system software.
