Re: Yamaha PSR-S975 - What am I doing wrong?

Hi, That's great! Once you get it: 1. Go to Focusrite's web page to download and install the latest audio driver for it. 2. Go into Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences and choose ASIO mode, with the Focusrite ASIO driver. 3. When you record audio from it, arm the track on the side that has the audio...

Re: Yamaha PSR-S975 - What am I doing wrong?

I don't think the 2i2 or 2i4 has a MIDI input. The 2i4 has MIDI in/out on the back (no MIDI on the 2i2). But I use the audio Line input on the front of my 2i4. D'oh! My mistake. It's just the 2i2 that doesn't have one. So, either the 2i4 or the 4i4 would be a great choice if you wanted to hook up M...

Re: Yamaha PSR-S975 - What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, guys: I don't see a 2i4 on the Focusrite website, I'm talking about the 4i4... but if the MIDI in (on the back of the 4i4) doesn't send all the instrument data to the PC, then I would have to use the audio input... Hi, You could route the MIDI through the 4i4, that's correct. You'd make a M...

Re: WORKING OFFLINE

Hi,

Yes, you don't have to be connected to the Internet for Mixcraft.

If you have Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio, Melodyne requires an Internet connection for activation.

Re: Saving audio files in project folder

Hi, Well, yes. If you want to add a wav file from some other source, then just placing it in the project file folder and then adding it to the project is a good way to do it. The "Copy Project Files to..." option is handy for those who haven't kept track of where all the various audio (and...

Re: Selector/Marquee tool

Hi,

Mixcraft 9 may have what you want. It's going to allow for automation curves.

For now, click to make dots, or use a MIDI controller to record the automation.

Edited to add: in regard to a VU meter, others probably have recommendations for a good third-party plugin.

Re: Yamaha PSR-S975 - What am I doing wrong?

Hi, No, you would use the audio input on the front if you wanted to record audio from your keyboard. I don't think the 2i2 or 2i4 has a MIDI input. Which means if you wanted to record MIDI, you'd need to make that connection separately. But right now, we're talking about recording audio, right? Greg

Re: MY NEW PRINTER ISN'T LISTED IN ACOUSTICA CD LABEL

Hi,

Look for the Canon TS8000 Series template. If you don't have that, quit the label maker and download and install the Acoustica CD/DVD Label Maker Label Template Updater.

Re: Saving audio files in project folder

Hi, If you look at the Project tab (down by the Sound and Library tabs), it shows the current project folder. This is the folder that will contain any future recordings you make for that project. The question you see is asking what you want to do in that regard. If you want new recordings for that p...

Re: Yamaha PSR-S975 - What am I doing wrong?

Hi, A 2nd or 3rd generation 2i2 or 2i4 will provide audio via USB, and you'll arm your Mixcraft audio tracks to record directly from that device, you won't be selecting Line In. If your keyboard is outputting audio with sufficient gain, this should work, and it will provide low-latency audio recordi...

Hi,

Yes, you can have Mixcraft installed and registered on a couple three of your own personal computers.

Schools can get a site license for more seats.
